VAR Licensing Terms 

As a VAR you have to follow the standard PaperBuster licensing terms and conditions (EULA). Based on the overall project that you do for your customer, you have to determine how many PaperBuster licenses are needed. You can then purchase the respective license and the related upgrade subscription (mandatory) at a discounted rate. VARs purchasing licenses for their own use will get discounts for licenses and annual support and maintenance subscriptions based on the volume purchased.

Copying of Software

As a VAR you are only allowed to install the PaperBuster installation/evaluation package together with a trial license key within the test/evaluation environments of prospective end-users of your application/system. You can distribute PaperBuster installation/evaluation packages to third parties, but only in quantities which are reasonably expected to stimulate sales while not damaging any interest of NorthPoint, e.g. you are not allowed to offer the PaperBuster installation/evaluation package and trial license key for anonymous download within your website. VAR Demonstration License (NFR) 

During the term of the VAR agreement every VAR will receive a free demonstration license which can be used for demonstration purposes, e.g. within your website or the notebooks of your sales force. The demonstration license will be limited for use on your own servers/workstations, i.e. you have to submit your server names which will be included in the demonstration license key. You are not allowed to distribute the demonstration license to your customers. However you can provide normal trial license keys to your customers which will not be limited to any server name.

The New VAR Online Purchasing System

The VAR Online Purchasing System will:

• Enable you to order full license keys for your customers using an online form. IMPORTANT: Once your account is activated, orders for Licenses can only be made through the VAR Online Purchasing System.


• Enable you to generate trial license keys at any time, without having to rely on our support. Those trial key files can be integrated together with the PaperBuster installation/evaluation package into the test/evaluation environments of your prospective customers.

Trial License 

A trial license key is active for a limited time only, usually 30 days, and can be given to your prospective customers. These licenses can be requested from the online purchasing system.

Invoicing of Licenses 

After an initial order is delivered and paid for, all subsequent orders, subject to credit approval, will be invoiced monthly. ie. After we receive your order through the VAR Online Purchasing System, we will send you the full license key together with a delivery slip by e-mail. At the end of each month we will issue an invoice for all purchases of licenses and support & maintenance subscriptions ordered during the respective month. All amounts are due on receipt of invoice.
